An evergreen alternative to a summit
Where this has come from
A collection of thoughts that created this idea:
- People ask me about Notion ALL THE TIME - but I am not especially competent and definitely don’t want to teach it
- But I want to do something more often than just pull together a massive and overwhelming list of Notion resources.
- Last week I took a training by Kenz Soliman about creating collab courses on Udemy - more on that later
- When Son#2 first started learning to bake with the help of my Mum, she did not take him on a tour of all the kitchen equipment and teach him the theory of all the ingredients. They started with one small thing he wanted to do - make a batch of iced cakes. And then each week they completed a new bake, and now he’s really rather good (millionaire shortbread this week and it was delicious).
What it’ll look like
So…..
What if we created a short course made up of very short (5-10 minute lessons) showing how Notion could solve some of the most pressing problems business owners face.
We do a lesson each (up to a team of 5 or 6 of us).
Business owner problems Notion can solve:
- I have access to bajillion courses and resources, how do I remember what those are, and locate them when I need them - a simple system so when they think ‘I want to learn about Instagram Reels’ they can search their Notion table before paying for anything else
- Where do I store my testimonials and keep track of when and how I’ve used them?
- Where do I put my work-in-progress ideas, instead of consigning them to my notebooks where they are left abandoned forever
